Each year, Ruislip Stars creates a wreath from poppies made by the children. We laid down our 2019 wreath at the Polish War Memorial on Sunday the 10th of November. Parents from the Nursery and Preschool joined us in the ceremony and minute of silence!
For Halloween this year the Preschool enjoyed having a fun filled afternoon with all of their friends, playing a range of different games such as, pin the tail on the cat, pumpkin painting, musical chairs, etc. The Nursery children invited their parents in for a party. Everyone had so much fun playing a range of different games and they even had a refreshments table with freshly cooked sandwiches, cakes, biscuits, etc.
For Remembrance day, some of our families and friends joined us in laying down our hand made poppy wreaths at the Polish Airforce Memorial.
On Friday the 11th of November some of our Preschool children and staff walked down to the Polish War Memorial to lay a wreath that the children had made. On Sunday the 13th of November some of our parents and staff joined us in laying a wreath while listening to the Sunday service at the Polish War Memorial. For Father’s Day this year, the Preschool children and some of their Dads had so much fun over the park in the sunshine playing a game of football while the Nursery children invited their Dads into the Nursery to spend some quality time with them.
The children enjoyed celebrating World Book Day by coming in dressed as their favourite story characters.
