Each year, Ruislip Stars creates a wreath from poppies made by the children. We laid down our 2019 wreath at the Polish War Memorial on Sunday the 10th of November. Parents from the Nursery and Preschool joined us in the ceremony and minute of silence!
To commemorate Remembrance day, we continued our tradition of creating a wreath and laying it down at the Polish War Memorial on the 11th November.
On Friday the 11th of November some of our Preschool children and staff walked down to the Polish War Memorial to lay a wreath that the children had made. On Sunday the 13th of November some of our parents and staff joined us in laying a wreath while listening to the Sunday service at the Polish War Memorial. Thank you to all our amazing parents that joined us in this ceremony.
This year for Diwali some of the children enjoyed making there very own paper diyas while others had lots of fun getting messy with different coloured paints to create henna art.
For Mother’s Day this year we allowed the Mums to come and celebrate this day with their children at both settings- the Preschool and Nursery. Everyone enjoyed a selection of cakes, cookies, and refreshments while spending some time with their child/ren
For Easter this year the Nursery invited the parents in for a stay and play session. During this some of the children and parents enjoyed the sunshine in the outdoor garden while other’s were taking part in different fun filled activities inside.
For children in need all the staff and children enjoyed coming to Nursery/ Preschool in their pyjamas for the day. Thank you to all the families that gave a donation and helped us raise £201 for the charity children in need.
